Rotary Head For Blasting Complex Geometries

In many applications, parts that require cleaning will have complex geometries in the design of the part. This becomes a challenge to achieve a clean part due to many angles and areas that can trap contaminants.

Suction Blast Cabinets
Pro-Finish suction cabinets cost less and are simpler than pressure cabinets. They also blast continuously without the need to stop for media refills, and they simplify the use of multiple nozzles. The results are usually comparable to those achieved with a pressure system although production rates are not so high. When initial cost and maintenance are primary concerns, the suction system is a good choice.
Pro-Finish suction systems come in five sizes and can be specified with a collector or dust bag on smaller units. A media reclaimer is optional. Nevertheless, when using media that can be recovered, a reclaimer is advisable because it normally pays for itself quickly in terms of reduced waste and high-quality, repeatable results.
Pro-Finish suction cabinets are available with many factory options that contribute ease of operation, reduced maintenance and greater productivity.
Plus, Pro-Finish's modular design lets you upgrade to a pressure system in the field at any time, enabling you to build on your original investment.

Pressure Blast Cabinets
Because pressure cabinets deliver blast media at higher velocities than suction systems, a Pro-Finish pressure cabinet is ideal for turning out work fast. In many applications, these pressure cabinets will perform jobs four-times faster than suction systems. In addition, they use compressed air more efficiently and provide more precise blasting control at high and low operating pressures. For really demanding tasks, like removing tight mill scale or finishing hard-to-reach surfaces, a pressure system is normally the only practical choice.

Pro-Finish pressure cabinets come in six sizes with dust collectors and media reclaimers provided as standard equipment. (Less expensive dust bags can be specified with some models.)
With Empire reclaimers, Pro-Finish pressure cabinets not only reduce operating cost associated with the purchase and disposal of media, but also assure consistent results shift after shift. Plus, they are available with options designed to meet almost any production need.

Ergo-Blast Cabinets
Empire Ergo Blast Cabinet photo Empire offers a number of standard Pro-Finish variations for specialized air-blasting jobs.
Ergo-Blast systems, for instance, increase productivity by improving operator performance during extended periods of continuous blasting. These cabinets are ergonomically designed for sit-down operation and include other features to reduce fatigue. As a result, machine operators concentrate on the job at hand when working for hours of repetitive tasks rather than trying to find the best position to relieve a sore back. By removing every-day distractions, Ergo-Blast cabinets maximize production.

FaStrip Blast Cabinets
Fastrip Blast Cabinet picture Pro-finish FaStrip cabinets are specifically designed for use with low -density media, such as plastics, that provide fast coverage without eroding substrates. Paint stripping, for example, can be performed quickly and economically without the use of hazardous chemicals.
FaStrip cabinets deliver plastic or organic media from a large venturi nozzle coupled to a grounded, flexible blast hose. A large, vibrating screen within the reclaimer and Empire's exclusive automatic Sure-Flo media regulator, working in tandem with the MG-78 CR exhaust valve, keeps light media flowing smoothly. A magnetic separator is also included in the system to extract ferrous particles that can damage delicate substrates.

Econo-Finish Cabinets
Econo Blast Cabinet picture Empire's inexpensive Econo-Finish blast cabinets feature a unique front-access door that simplifies loading of parts, saves floor space and speeds finishing operations.

Designed for light-to-medium cleaning and surface-finishing jobs, these economical cabinets combine sturdy, 14 gauge steel construction with features you need to perform a wide range of finishing tasks. All Econo-Finish cabinets are equipped with a foot-treadle blast control for ease of operation, an external media-regulation device, quick-change safety glass and an improved dust collection system.

In addition, you can select from upgraded features such as production-quality blast nozzles and a high-capacity dust collector that extends operating intervals between clean-outs. The DC-16 and DC-30 dust collectors feature a cartridge filter with 16 gallon and 30 gallon dust capacities and built-in silencers.

Econo-Finish cabinets are available in two basic configurations: models with two-piece, swing-down/ flip-up doors for maximum interior access, as shown above, and an even more economical unit with a swing-down door only. Models with two-piece doors can be specified with a standard upgrade package designed to extend usage and maximize production.

ProFormer Cabinets
Pro-Former Cabinet picture

Empire ProFormer™ cabinets put it all together in a single assembly that's easy to move and simple to hook up. These cabinets require only two connections, air and electrical, and include features offered in our high-production Pro-Finish® line.

A tunable media reclaimer, capable of recycling a variety of abrasives and cartridge-type dust collector, monitored by a a minihelic gauge, are contained in the same enclosure as the cabinet, along with all electrical and pneumatic interconnections between components. Forklift slots are also provided, making this unit easy to move between work stations.

The dust collector filtration system is designed for easy maintenance. Filters can be pulse-cleaned with the press of a button. When filters have to be replaced, they can be changed quickly and cleanly with a twist of two nuts. The filters slide into the cabinet where any loose dust falls into the cabinet, not onto the work floor.

Designed for production blasting, these versatile cabinets enable you to perform multiple tasks. You can clean or peen and perform almost any finishing job in between by simply varying air pressure and blast media.

These rugged cabinets can be specified with either suction- or pressure-blast systems as well as a wide range of standard factory options.
